Once a month, the people of the Pooler Catholic Community join together for "Sacrifice Sunday," recognizing that the community must grow with a firm foundation of faith, prayer and sacrifice to others. The community chooses charities that offer an outreach of our Catholic faith while assuring we also build up the faithful around us. Charities we have chosen include the Social Apostolate, Carmelite Monastery of Savannah, Pregnancy Crisis Center of Rincon, our kind brothers and sisters in Christ at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church and our own Catholic Missions in Southeast Georgia. We have donated canned goods, financial offerings, much needed supplies and our time to assure we live a life of faith in action and sacrifice. Sacrifice Sunday is held the first Saturday of the month and, when our church is completed, it will actually be held the first weekend of the month at all Masses. Until then, continue to pray for our growth as a people of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, committed to live in faith in action and sacrifice.
